Some of the many comments and emails that we have received:

"Thank you for a SUPERB evening at Poole – warmest congratulations to cast, orchestra, set designer and director."

"We came to the matinee and thoroughly enjoyed it.  One particular highlight was the dance of the teddy bears!!"

"Please pass on huge congratulations to the company for their magnificent performance of Iolanthe. We all thought it exceptionally outstanding."

"Iolanthe was wonderful.  We have been G & S fans for a long time."

"Well done. I thoroughly enjoyed Thursday evening.”

"Many thanks for your sparkling performance of Iolanthe which we saw recently at the Lighthouse. We were with a friend who is something of an expert in G&S and she thoroughly enjoyed it."

"You have all done it again! A brilliant show, we really loved it, as did friends who came along with us on Wednesday evening. Yesterday we had some other friends for lunch who saw it later in the week, and they said it was the best Iolanthe they had ever seen. Thank you so much."

“We enjoyed Patience last year and now Iolanthe and would like notice of future productions in advance so we can invite friends down to join us....as we did for Iolanthe!”

2012

Gilbert's wicked humour which picks fun at the members of the House of Lords who get entangled with a group of lively fairies, together with Sullivan's wonderful music make this one of the favourite G&S operas for many.

Our Director was once again the very talented Alan Spencer who has been the architect of some of our most successful shows recently and our Musical Director was our own resident MD Jean Holt whose musical ability is renowned in this area.

On at Poole’s Lighthouse over 24th to 27th October, the show was a huge success and we have received nothing but praise for it. Do have a look at the Scene One magazine review here and the Stour & Avon magazine here.

Some of the many emails we have received are at the bottom of the page.

The main show for October this year is going to be

One of the favourite G&S operas for many people, The Yeomen of the Guard is full of wonderful music and a great story of wrongful imprisonment in the Tower of London with subsequent escape, subterfuge and romance.

Definitely not one to be missed, so please get the dates in your diaries as the show will be on at Poole’s Lighthouse from Wed 23rd to Sat 26th October.

If you would like to be on our mailing list so that we can send you details of all future shows, then please click the button below and send us the details.  We need a full address if you would like the details in the post, or an email address if you are happy to receive the information by email.
