Our Main Show for 2013 next October will be the hugely popular






This is the firm favourite for many people and although one of more serious of the operas, has some of the best music and dramatic action. Click here for photographs and video clips from our last Yeomen.



We always finish our year with a carol season leading up to Christmas, raising money for the Macmillan Cancer Unit at Christchurch.  We are very proud that over the many years of singing carols we have raised over £60,000.

NODA Accolade of Excellence


Every year the National Operatic and Dramatic Association - NODA - present ‘Accolades of Excellence’ to shows that are the best in their category.  In the last few years, we have TWICE won this accolade for our productions of The Yeomen of the Guard and The Pirates of Penzance.

What’s happening this year?


We have just finished our series of Spring Shows and Concerts which this year included a costumed, staged concert version of Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss, as well as some of the favourite G&S numbers.

And Last Year…
 It was certainly a busy and exciting one!
Back in October we finished our Main Show for last year, which was the very popular


One of the favourite G&S operas for many people, the show has been a huge success and we have received nothing but praise from everyone who came to see it.  Photographs and video clips are available here.

 In April and May we had our series of Spring Shows called "Ballads, Songs and Snatches", with lots of the favourite G&S numbers woven into a thoroughly entertaining evening.  If you came along then we do hope you had an enjoyable evening and thank you very much for your support.
On May 20th we were invited back to the very prestigious West Green House in Hampshire for a public performance of a fully costumed concert version of Patience - the 2011 show. See the 'Other Events' page for more details.

Would You Like to Join Us?


We are having New Member Auditions on Tuesday 21st May at 7.30 pm.  All are welcome, but we are specially looking for men to join us for “The Yeomen of the Guard”, our main show in October.


We are always delighted to see new people who would like to join our Society, so if you are thinking about it please have a look around the website which will give you a good idea of what we do.  There are some notes specially written to give you some facts and figures about what becoming a member involves, so do have a look at those and then contact our Secretary who will be able to give you any other information.
